Liberal Arts in Japan

This book compiles the experiences of Prof. Okano in teaching physics at the International Christian University, a liberal arts school in Tokyo, Japan. It presents his unique views on teaching science to students at a liberal arts university, and how this compares to other approaches adopted in Japan. The book also presents example lectures from a basic physics course presented by him, and how this is received from the perspective of students.
