War, Global Capitalism and Resistance

For the last twenty years, William I. Robinson has been developing a new theory of capitalism and the state; now his selected writings are collected in War, Global Capitalism and Resistance. His theory of capitalism, imperialism, and the state - describing a transnational capitalist world, a global police state, and the resistance to them - derives from earlier Marxists theories but also transforms and develops them. He applies his theory to such issues as education and migration, and the Israel-Palestine war, and calls for the creation of a new international to confront global capitalism. His writings challenge us to rethink our understanding of capitalism and the class struggle.
