Old friends and new foes Katarina Svoboda's reign of terror has ended and things are starting to look up in Seattle as peace falls over the city. Now, Alexis can get to know the half-brother she never knew she had, while also being there for Maxi who just found out she's pregnant. It's a wonderful time for everyone with old friends returning and new family being discovered. Of course, dealing with the coven is still at the top of Alexis's list of things to do, while trying to figure out a way to open the door in the basement. Fortunately, she's got help. Everything seems to be moving right along until a new bad element doesn't just move into town but shows up at the auction house to announce his presence. He is charming and mysterious, and from what Alexis can feel, more dangerous than any foe she's ever had. Once again Alexis and her friends must do whatever they can to protect themselves and the city from harm.
