I'm Not Really Blind, I Just Can't See

This is the story of a sight-impaired person trying to find his place in a sighted world. It is a tale laced with optimism and humor, frustration and pathos. Running through each incident is the author's compassion - compassion for the sighted who have the ability to see with their eyes but not with their heart. As the author struggles to keep his goals intact, the reader gains a wealth of insight into the difference between sight and perception. Having lost his sight at the age of 22, Joseph is able to make the distinction between seeing and perceiving, which forms the stage from which the tale is told.
