Philip Roth Considered

Noticing that the American writer's novels, stories, and non-fiction all seem intricately conjoined, and that he is one of the few current writers unafraid to mine the same territory over and over, Milowitz began looking for the unifying theme. He found it in the issue of the Holocaust and its impact on 20th-century American life. After comparing the plethora of Holocaust allusions from his earliest works to his most recent with the meager mention of the Holocaust in reviews, articles, and manuscripts, he decided to share his insights with others.
