(Author) A J CarusoAs the tittle suggests this is a book about a young man, named Allen Carlson, he's twenty-four years old and is being sent to prisons he was guilty of, however has little to no remorse for his actions. Allen was bullied, and even sexually abused by his sister, when he was child. It got so bad that he created an imaginary girlfriend who kept him company in his times of need. But as Allen grew older and went to high school, he found a real girlfriend, the apple of his eye, Sophia. Unfortunately, it would not be long before that relationship ended, and Allen regressed into a bit of a stalker and pervert-he had become a nihilist. Enacting on his worse impulses towards women before eventually getting caught and put on trial for his crimes. Once sent to prison, Allen finds his long-lost brother Joey where the two rekindle their relationship and try their best to survive New York State prison. At the time, something seems off with this prison, or at least with Allen now that he's there-something a bit paranormal. With the utter confusion of events taking place, along with Allen's mental state being tested, he finds himself turning to God. Now filled with a new purpose, and wanting to proactively become a better person, Allen decides to finish his teaching degree in English. Allen is eventually reunited with his star-crossed and once forgotten lover, Sophia. But he still has some personal demons to deal with-some were quite literally. He uses what he learned in prison about being a better person towards his career as a teacher and a writer. Once he is free, Allen is no longer a prisoner of God.
