PAYBACK at the GUEST HOUSE

Amateur sleuth Faye Chambers and her Spaniel, Alfie, have checked into a guesthouse in South Shields for a seaside break after a falling out with her husband. The following morning, a man is found dead by the elderly landlady. Faye and a sparkly-eyed police inspector piece together clues in the guesthouse, trying to ascertain where the victim had come from. In the other three rooms are slightly suspicious holidaymakers whom Faye suspects could have had something to do with the murder. Faye's lifelong friend, Penny, arrives to support her, but she brings with her an intriguing twist of her own. Dark shadows loom among these holidaymakers on the seafront in South Shields, and Faye is determined to uncover why.
