The land of the free and the home of the bound. This contradiction depicts the citizens of America in the year 2075. They are one year away from the tricentennial celebration of the United States....or what's left of it. After years of both international and civil war, natural disasters, and the loss of the power grid through most of the land, the Government has unified the country as best it could by consolidating its resources and its people. The nation nearly collapsed under the heaviness. There was a great longing for a return to normalcy. A new miracle drug was introduced to the public and marketed as the cure bringing new hope and vision to a nearly relinquished nation. Through the turmoil, Communism has been playing its infamous hand. Paul and Morah Bell live in Nashville, TN, one of the 25 mega cities that make up the Unified Towns of America where monolithic stadiums reside that still host the great games of the past. Paul had left the pragmatic corporate world and his accelerated rise to fame. He took with him a secret that could change the face of America as they know it. They had since joined in the elusive fight to help free as many as they can from production labor camps. With the help of Morah's brother and his family, their good friend Achmed, and a local pastor who hasn't compromised, this exclusive underground group has been able to keep their actions a secret.......until now. Now the team is suddenly separated. They find themselves thrust into the path of everyone from high authority figures to those who stayed in the wild years ago, the forgotten who were left to fend for themselves. Some big names in the sports industry are losing their susceptibleness to the drug and the side effects are beginning to wreak havoc thus disrupting the fragile system that holds the fabric of the nation together. The once perfect system seems to have an expiration date. Through this sudden hardship, they realize they are not alone in the fight. There are more who have not bowed. A surge of hope has renewed their faith and caused them to believe that joy truly will come in the morning.
