上海守財奴
(Author) Harvey Whitehouse 孫寶强這部二十萬字的長篇小說，記錄了老陳坎坷的一生。通過一個「摳」，折射東方葛郎台的禀性；通過一個「變」，復活「斯德歌爾摩症」的本質。 上世紀三十年代，老陳頂著三個麻袋，從啟東來到上海。在幾乎自虐的節儉中，和堂哥盤下了一個做醬油的小作坊（就是現在的上海釀造廠）。在迎接解放軍進上海後的一輪輪的運動中，老陳或靠著利用盟友、或靠著反戈、或靠著出賣躲過了劫難。但是在文革的抄家中失去了他所有的金銀財寶。由於膝下猶虛，於是有了「借腹生子、領子、豔遇」的一波三折。就在他終於迎來平反時，卻因為一筆被貪污的款子而走上申訴路。在漫長的申訴路上，他因恐懼而走上黃泉路。
