Hope
Egyptian Arabic Reader
(Author) Nourhan SabekAmal ("Hope") finds life challenging after being left to raise her two children on her own. But luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. Hope is still alive. The Egyptian Arabic Readers series aims to provide learners with much-needed exposure to authentic language. The 15 books in the series are at a similar level (B1-B2) and can be read in any order. The stories are a fun and flexible tool for building vocabulary, improving language skills, and developing overall fluency. The main text is presented on left-facing pages with tashkeel (diacritics) to support accurate reading, while parallel English translations on right-facing pages help clarify meaning and highlight new words and idioms. Each unit is supported by comprehension questions to check understanding and encourage reflection. For learners who want an extra challenge, a second version of the text is included at the back of each book without tashkeel or translation. In addition, every book includes access to audio downloads of the texts read by native speakers, allowing learners to strengthen listening skills and reinforce what they read.
