Muquim Ahmed is a stalwart of the Bangladeshi/British community who symbolises the entrepreneurial spirit of perseverance, dexterity, and persistence. The view is that he is highly motivated, idiosyncratic, ambitious and inquisitive. As if by magic, he seems to have a Midas touch, achieving success in whatever initiative he ventured into. The Currency Exchange, Cinema, Travel, Shipping, Wholesale, Import/Export, and Restaurants were all income-producing ventures. Muquim Ahmed also had a disastrous spell of bad luck when anything he touched seemed to go up in names. But the mishaps that followed did not dampen his zeal for enterprise: Some institutions would certainly have failed had it not been for Muquim 's perseverance and determination to carry them successfully forward.This book, my memoir, my life entwined in the evolution process of my community that shaped my businesses and enterprises, which revolved around entertaining - Naz Cinema, music, and cassette shop to services of remittance, travel, wholesaling, and shipping consumer goods to Bangladesh.
