Cylchodd Buck am yr ergyd olaf, a gwasgodd y cylch o gŵn yn nes. Buck circled for the final blow, the ring of dogs pressed closer. Gallai deimlo eu hanadl boeth; yn barod i'w lladd. He could feel their hot breaths; ready for the kill. Daeth llonyddwch; roedd popeth yn ei le; roedd amser wedi stopio. A stillness fell; all was in its place; time had stopped. Rhewodd hyd yn oed yr aer oer rhyngddynt am un eiliad olaf. Even the cold air between them froze for one last moment.
