Why would any rational human being paddle into the biggest wave in history? Nazaré delves into the lives of a select band of surfers who gather in a small Portuguese fishing village to do just that. A new breed of men and women pushing the boundaries of their death-defying sport by challenging each other to go bigger than ever before. Their goal? To surf the biggest wave ever recorded. The record currently stands at 86 feet, set in Nazaré in 2020. But the dream is to go over 100 feet. A skyscraper of water, the ocean's Everest.
