Journeying through heart breaking loss, Zoe explores the complex passage of grief in a unique and cathartic way. The pages of the book alternate breathtakingly evocative sketches of a stick character known as Doodle lady, with short grief wisdoms, poignant poetry, and prose. Doodle Lady became the voice of Zoe's grief self, expressing all of the real and raw emotion that grief presents, yet in a way that also suggests hope, peace, and unexpected beauty in the numinous.
