A coming of age sci-fi/fantasy adventure story with the most reluctant hero you're ever going to find. Barry Dunphy wants to be just another normal, regular ten-year-old boy. That would be great, except for the small fact that he lives in Ballinacrack. What difference does that make? you might ask. Well, Ballinacrack is a small, Irish midlands town that just so happens to be the superhero and adventure capital of the world. Barry's parents are heroes that moved to Ballinacrack before he was born to fight the monsters and villains that plague the town. When he was old enough, they even sent Barry to a school for future superheroes which he absolutely hates. When a sudden disappearance befalls Ballinacrack, Barry reluctantly realises that he is the only one who can save the day. He must do the one thing he hates the most; go on an adventure!
