I Am Able

My sister Shirley and I were separated at a very young age due to her disability, and we didn't reunite until 40 years later after a 23-year search. It's been a journey for us both. Shirley has overcome a lot of challenges throughout her life, especially after losing her eyesight. Remarkably, she has kept a positive outlook and continues to strive to be better, even today. Shirley is my hero and she continues to inspire others every day. This book was written in her words to express her desire to encourage those with disabilities and share her story. Based on a true story, Shirley offers encouragement to those with disabilities, while chronicling our 20 year journey to find one another. We would like to thank everyone who helped Shirley along the way and especially those at the Eddy Senior Care like Kate, Amy and Loren.
