"Don't be nice, boys, be a good monster" In the grey streets of Plymouth during the 80s and 90s, Judas Nobody is a born outsider, dealing in petty theft and forged sicknotes. When a chance to become a pro footballer comes about, he rejects the offer and dives headlong into a life of hedonism, all while grappling with his own ideas in a world determined to box him in. In this candid and darkly humoured coming-of-age, the ultimate rebellion is against conformity itself, conformity to senseless work, conformity to not cheat or commit a crime or refuse someone's God, and conformity to what it is to be a man, even if it means losing your mind in the doing.
