The Pepper Girls

The Pepper Girls, Lexie and Nancy, have always had Annie Pepper and Billy Dawson to depend on for help and support, however, Annie and Billy have left Dundee and gone to Belfast, leaving their daughters to face life without them. The year is 1952 and Lexie is now a single mum while Nancy's marriage is crumbling around her ears. But fate doesn't care and when Bo McGhee, the father of Lexie's daughter, Rainbow, wants to adopt his daughter and take her to Canada, Lexie has to find a way of keeping her daughter and her sanity. Meantime Nancy finds, to her horror, that she is pregnant at 40 years of age to a husband she no longer loves. Will the girls ever find the love and happiness they long for, maybe, but only if the fates allow.
