Wembley

Football is a truly global game. Everywhere in the world people know of Wembley. Pelé called it the Church of Football, and for decades Wembley held pride of place among the world's top venues - home to over 200 England internationals, including England's 1966 World Cup victory, 72 FA Cup Finals, Euro 96, and the 1948 Olympic Games, as well as countless major concerts, most notably Live Aid in 1985. Now, a magnificent new stadium has risen from the rubble of the old. This is a book of two halves and comprises the history of the old stadium as well as the story of the new.
