More tales of the country.It is a year since Brian and Jane Viner and their three children left north London for a rambling grange in rural Herefordshire. They are settling in, but Brian knows that despite his best efforts he is destined always to seem more like a townie than a horny-handed son of the soil. The interesting mushroom he spots in his small wood, for example, is revealed by an expert to be a 'dried-out cowpat'. Beware then, of letting him cook you a mushroom risotto, but do let him take you on an uproarious journey through one of the most beautiful regions of England.
