Medical and Educational Needs for Autism

Autism is a dynamic disorder, affecting 1 in 54 children in the United States. As individuals grow and develop, informational needs change based on their current strengths, areas of need, and challenges. Medical and Educational Needs for Autism aims to provide understanding and assistance to clinicians interacting with ASD patients and their caregivers. This book will be divided into two clear sections, first the medical coverage and the second educational section. The first section will include chapters on sleep disorders, feeding/nutrition concerns and medication. The second section will focus on the education component which will include, IEP process and activities for daily living.
