Dixit Game

Each round in Dixit, one player takes on the role of the storyteller. This player selects one card from their hand of six and describes it using words, sounds, or a short phrase that connects to the image on the card. They place the card face down on the table. The other players then choose a card from their own hands that they feel best matches the storyteller’s description and pass it to the storyteller, also face down.

The storyteller shuffles all the submitted cards together, including their own, and reveals them face-up. The remaining players secretly guess which card they think was the storyteller’s. If everyone or no one guesses the correct card, the storyteller earns 0 points, and the other players gain 2 points each. If some but not all players guess correctly, the storyteller and those who guessed the right card earn 3 points. Additionally, players score 1 point for each vote their card receives, encouraging clever bluffing.

The game concludes when the deck is depleted or when a player reaches 30 points. The winner is the player with the highest score.

The Dixit base set and its expansions each contain 84 beautifully illustrated cards, which can be freely combined for variety.
