Jonathan Blitzer is an American journalist and staff writer at The New Yorker since 2013. He has received a National Award for Education Reporting, an Edward R. Murrow Award, and the 2018 Immigration Journalism Prize from the French-American Foundation. His work focuses on immigration and U.S. border issues, and his writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Atlantic, and The Nation. In 2024, he published Everyone Who Is Gone Is Here: The United States, Central America, and the Making of a Crisis, examining the factors contributing to the U.S. border crisis.
